Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Laroweb Studio ("Laroweb", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and applicable Canadian privacy laws.
1. Who we are
Laroweb Studio is a web design and development studio based on the South Shore of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information collected through laroweb.ca and during our work with clients. Laroweb is operated by Arianne Laroche. For privacy matters, contact ariannelaroche@gnetics.ca or +1 (438) 365-2781.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to visitors of laroweb.ca, people who contact us through the website or by email, and clients who engage our services (website development, web applications, SEO, UX design, custom programming and AI business agents). Project-specific handling of your business data is also governed by your quote, contract or statement of work.
3. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services:
- Name, email address, project type and message submitted through our contact form
- Email correspondence and call notes when you communicate with us
- Business details, billing information and tax identifiers when we work together
- Content and assets you provide for your project (text, images, logos, brand guidelines, access credentials when required)
- Technical logs when you submit the contact form (IP address and timestamp) for abuse prevention and security
- Browser preferences stored locally on your device (language, theme and layout choices)
4. How we collect information
Information is collected when you fill out our contact form, email us, speak with us during a discovery call, sign a quote or contract, or provide materials during an active project. For AI agent or automation projects, additional data may be processed through systems you authorize (CRM, email, calendars, APIs) strictly according to your instructions and contract.
5. How we use your information
Your information is used strictly for legitimate business purposes:
- Responding to inquiries and preparing quotes, proposals or discovery calls
- Delivering, supporting and improving the services you request
- Managing the client relationship, invoicing and project communications
- Operating, securing and maintaining laroweb.ca and our internal tools
- Meeting legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations
6. Legal basis (Law 25)
Depending on the context, we process personal information based on: execution of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request; your consent when required (for example, optional communications); our legitimate interest in operating securely and managing client relationships; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent where applicable without affecting prior lawful processing.
7. We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use your information for purposes you have not been informed of, and we do not use client business data to train generic AI models.
8. Cookies & local storage
laroweb.ca uses only the storage required for the site to function: remembering your language (EN/FR), colour theme, layout preference and dark/light mode. We do not use advertising cookies, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or third-party tracking pixels on this site. You can clear these preferences anytime in your browser settings.
9. Third-party service providers
We rely on a limited number of trusted providers strictly to operate our business:
- Web hosting and infrastructure providers (Canadian or North American servers where possible)
- Email delivery through our notification system (Gmail API via Maton) when you submit the contact form
- Tools required to deliver your project (hosting, DNS, CMS, analytics you approve for your own site, AI infrastructure via Technologies GNETICS Inc. when applicable)
10. AI agents & automation projects
When you engage Laroweb for AI business agents or workflow automation, data from your connected systems is processed only to operate the solution we build for you — lead qualification, reporting, integrations and similar tasks defined in scope. Access is limited to personnel required for setup and support. Your operational data is not repurposed for unrelated marketing or model training.
11. Data security & hosting
Communications with laroweb.ca are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Contact form submissions are stored on secured servers with restricted access. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures: access controls, secure credentials handling and least-privilege access for project work.
12. Data retention
Contact inquiries are retained for up to 24 months unless a business relationship begins. Client project files, contracts and billing records are kept for the duration of the relationship and thereafter for the period required by applicable law (accounting, tax, limitation periods). When retention ends, data is securely deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
13. International transfers
Your data is primarily processed in Canada. Some providers (for example email or cloud tools) may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. When required, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and limit transfers to what is necessary to deliver the service.
14. Your rights
Under Quebec Law 25 and, where applicable, the GDPR for users in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion in the cases provided by law
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based
- Request portability of your data in a structured, commonly used format
- Object to or request limitation of processing in certain circumstances
- File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI)
15. Minors
Our services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has contacted us, please reach out so we can delete the information promptly.
16. Privacy incidents
If an incident occurs that presents a risk of serious harm to personal information we hold, we will notify affected individuals and the CAI as required by Law 25, and take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact.
17. Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page. For any privacy question or request, contact ariannelaroche@gnetics.ca.
